About Gematrify

Gematrify is a free Gematria calculator that turns any name, word, or phrase into a number, three different ways. Type "Andrew Tate" or "Quantum Mechanics" or whatever else you have in mind, and you'll get an English Gematria value, a Simple Gematria value, and a Jewish (Hebrew) Gematria value, plus a per-letter breakdown showing how the total was built. There is no sign-up, no paywall, and the calculator itself is plain and fast.

Most Gematria sites lean on one or two methods. We compute three because they answer different questions.

English Gematria assigns each letter its alphabet position multiplied by six. It's the most common version in modern numerological circles, and it's the one most people are checking when they ask whether a name "equals 666".

Simple Gematria is the bare arithmetic version: each letter is just its alphabet position, A=1 through Z=26. Useful when you want to compare letter sums in their cleanest, scale-independent form.

Jewish (or Hebrew) Gematria uses an irregular table that mirrors the Hebrew alphabet's letter values, transliterated to Latin letters: a=1 through i=9, then j=600, k=10, l=20, all the way through w=900. The same word can hit very different totals across the three, which is the part that makes browsing the database interesting.

Every calculation stays private by default. If you choose to submit one, it gets added to a shared database that anyone can browse. The database is small but growing, and it's where you'll find leaderboards for words that hit 666, 888, and 444, the trending entries from the last week, and a histogram of how Gematria values are distributed across the corpus. You can sort the tables, click any entry to see its dedicated page, and search by any numeric value to pull up every word in the database that matches.

We don't moderate submissions individually. Rate limits, length caps, and a few automatic checks handle the obvious abuse, and we trust the rest.

After a calculation, an option to Consult the Oracle waits below the result. It's a brief, mystical reading on whatever phrase you typed and the three numbers that came out. You can take it as a curiosity, an interpretive prompt, or ignore it entirely.

Gematria has serious historical roots in Jewish mysticism, Greek isopsephy, and other traditions, where it served as a way to read numerical patterns inside scripture and other texts. Today it is mostly enjoyed as letter arithmetic, and we treat it that way. The site doesn't claim that finding 666 inside a name means anything about that person, that any value is predictive, or that the patterns you stumble across reveal hidden truths. Some matches are striking, some are coincidence, and the point of the calculator is to give you the math cleanly so you can make of it what you will.
